Visionary Asia: Entries Open for the 2027 Asia Hospitality Awards
Asia's hotels, resorts and restaurants have a new benchmark to chase. The 2027 Asia Hospitality Awards are open for entry under the theme "Visionary Asia," building toward a Winners' Night in Bangkok next May.
Recognition in hospitality tends to reward what a guest can see: the arrival, the suite, the plate. The 2027 Asia Hospitality Awards, whose entries opened on 20 July 2026, are framed around something harder to photograph, the vision behind those things and the people willing to act on it.
The edition runs under the theme "Visionary Asia," carried by the line "Envision Tomorrow, Inspire Generations." Its remit is broad by design. Hotels and resorts, restaurants and wellness brands, cruise operators, tourism destinations and the leaders who direct them are all invited to enter, drawn from a region whose idea of luxury no longer answers to anyone else's.
What the awards set out to measure is stated plainly. Excellence, certainly, but alongside it innovation, cultural authenticity, sustainability and the quality of the guest experience itself, the kind that leaves a mark on travellers and on the communities that receive them.
The programme is organised into thirty categories across five disciplines: Hotel, Resort, Lifestyle & Wellness, Cruise & Yacht, and Special Achievement. Between them they reach across accommodation, wellness, gastronomy, tourism and destination experience, down to the individual honours for the general managers, chefs and operators whose judgement shapes a property from the inside.
The season follows a fixed path. Standard entries close on 25 February 2027. Judging runs through March and April, winners are announced in April, and the year resolves in May with the Winners' Night in Bangkok.
The choice of city is not incidental. Bangkok keeps one of the most restless hospitality scenes in Asia, a deep cultural inheritance and the connectivity to gather the region in a single room. The evening is intended to be more than a ceremony: a setting for the hoteliers, restaurateurs, developers and tourism professionals shaping the next chapter of the industry to meet, exchange what they know, and mark the work that has moved it forward.
